It’s been about six weeks since I picked up the ukulele for the first time. I am so amazed how it makes me smile. A simple four stringed instrument and some mediocre strumming and I’m happy. So, I printed out several songs with the chords to learn …….. one is King of the Road of Roger Miller fame. I have always loved that song. I remember when he would sing it on the old black and white TV. I learned the words quickly and have song it for the last, well, say several decades. Never forgot it.
So on the ukulele I strum it and get a kick out of it …… old stogies I have found, short but not too big around…. Hahaha.
I hope you enjoy it as much or more than I do! Someday – MAYBE – I will record myself on the uke………

…music makes the soul glad…
it sure does… 😀
Music connects us to something, I don’t know what.
But it does..
Good blog x
Thanks friend. It sure does. 🙂
Yeah x 🙂
Hope you are enjoying your weekend
Not too bad…. Are you feeling better?
I am “ok” but not complaining.
Face is I will always be in pain… lol
I got a LOT of sleep..
Well I’ll never understand why some suffer and some get better. But I do know that God can heal you and I’m asking that he will. Time will tell.
I am all out of praying Cate..
I know a person who is more religious than I will not want to hear this. But I am done almost. Is god testing my Will? I tried to take my own life, I make my family suffer sometimes. I go to church the very rare occasion and just sit and ask the burning pain to stop…”Praying for one day” is my blog page name..for that reasons…
We all have our axe to grind I guess.
So I made pain my friend for life. All I can do…
Thank you Cate x
:). Them I will carry you. 🙂
I am a big boy Cate.. lol x 🙂

Gday! I love the ukulele and the songs and words always make me smile, true!
As they bring me to a very special childhood place with LOTS of memories too!
Now on FB too http://www.facebook.com/whatsonthelist
Haha. That is awesome! Thank you. 😀
My grandmom taught me how to play the uke when I was young and I bought my first one with S&H Green Stamps – I played it til it wore out. Now I play a baritone uke. When I woke up this morning I was singing (in my head) and my left hand was playing the cords in the air to “Five Foot Two”…one of the first songs Gram taught me to play.
YES! that is awesome. So glad we another connection AND so glad to hear from you!
