My Goals – Score!

I was faced, recently, with the question: What are my goals for my blogging adventure?  Ugh.  Goals, to me, belong in soccer or football.  I’m just kidding, but, making a list of goals has always been difficult for me.  Let me tell you why.

I am the type of person who runs from goals, most of the time, simply because I’m afraid I won’t make them.  Yup, it’s that simple.  I give myself a deadline or a list of things I want to accomplish and I do the opposite.  And that is due to fear.  The old fear of failure.  So I guess that when I make those goals I just jump right past them and into the finish line……. of failure.

This day, February 2nd, 2015, I will tell you some of my blogging goals and then they will be out there in the wild blue web-os-sphere for all to see.

Here goes:

  • I want to be heard.  I want to say such profound words that ears will open and hearts will change
  • I want to increase traffic to my blog
  • I want to increase the like button activity and more nice comments (nice ones, please)
  • I want more like-minded blogging friends and buddies and followers
  • I want to make money blogging
  • I want another trip to Hawaii

That sounds awful to me.  Sounds selfish but it is what I want.

Dear readers, there you have it.  My goals and I hope you help me achieve them or whittle the list down or even change it some to be more realistic.  In other words, give me your kind advice.  I am a creative person and take criticism seriously and will probably cry.  😉  And I’m a grandmother………

Thank you for the listen.                     images8

I see no problem in those goals at all. Probably we all have the same goals on here……some more ambitious than others I’m sure. Having something you do just for yourself to make yourself heard in a realm all your own doesn’t sound selfish to me in the least! I’m with you, Cate, and I’ll do what I can to help!

Cate, I love goals! They help me stay sane! I don’t always reach them due to procrastinating. I change them all the time too! They make me happy and sad. They make my laugh at myself for calling them my friends. They are a part of me. I think I’ll keep them.

My goal is to make more comments (profound ones would be nice, but let’s not go crazy here) instead of just clicking the like button and running away. I like your goals! I wish you luck!
I agree we should all eat more pie. 😄

Haha. Thank you so much! I also tend to click like and run. Or I say the same thing for most – sad. Maybe I’ll just eat a piece of pie and think about this…… 😀

totally cool Cate!! i like your goals, and i also understand your fears…you know i deal with the same lol….
but your goals are up front and it’s awesome you’re facing them head on!
i see no reason why you can’t achieve them all…i’m cheering you on girl, you can do it, and others need to help 🙂
it’s not on you alone, others need to step it up and remark accordingly…your points/goals are valid and i believe all things are possible and likely now that you’ve spoken them out into the atmosphere!
looking forward to hearing more from you…i love everything you write…and i love your page, it’s so delish!!!

Nope, not selfish goals at all! I have similar goals and talked about them on the blog but I fell behind due to illnesses and lots of other alibis. 🙂
